We fundraise and campaign for a cure to end Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)

Story

This year we have our biggest ever team taking part in Tough Mudder Scotland and the beauty of it this time is all the funds we raise will go directly to Mike Matters registered charity in Scotland!

Mike Matters are looking to fundraise to financially support research projects into medicines for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).  DMD is 100% fatal.  Affecting mainly boys and men the muscles do not repair like ours do and they lose the ability to walk in their teens and then the other muscles begin to fail affecting swallowing, breathing and eventually the most important muscle; the heart.

The charity was set up in the name of our friend's son who has DMD and is aged 9.  Michael is great fun, currently still walking and his Uncle Martin has led two teams through Tough Mudder.  This will be his third time and with his largest team.

If you want to join the team or the support crew, please get in touch on Facebook by searching Mike Matters or Tweet @MikeMattersDMD or email info@mikematters.org.

Thank you for reading this and if you can spare some funds or words of encouragement then we would be very grateful.
