Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  In January we decided to undertake a physical challenge that we could do together, and use that as a great opportunity to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.  A charity that helps people with cancer by supporting them from the moment of diagnosis, so cancer patients are able to live life as fully as possible.

We set off on Saturday September 8, (our 29th wedding anniversary!), and will cycle (camping en route) almost 1000 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats, finishing on Sunday September 16.

We’ve trained hard, covering over 3,000 miles to date, and been out in all weathers.  We are complete bike bores, and know more about bikes, chamois cream and performance gels than we should.  It’s now got to the point we just want to get on with it and get our lives back!

But that’s easy for us to say, not easy for those living with cancer, and frankly, however cold, wet, sore and fed up we are, we are very lucky.  I really hope we can smash this target and make a meaningful contribution to the charity.
