In December 2012, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and 2013 was taken up with radiotherapy, two extended runs of chemotherapy, and a major operation that left me with an ileostomy bag for 8 months.  The treatment culminated with a final op in January 2014 which reunited me with my bottom!

As part of a general effort to restore my fitness after 14 months of not being able to do a great deal and as a big thank-you to Macmillan Cancer Support, I am joining the Iluka crew to cycle from London to Paris and would be extremely grateful for any sponsorship to keep this great charity in funds.
