Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am currently on the Junior Leaders XVIII course in the Air Training Corps. As part of the course participants must complete a fundraising activity to support the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF). The Junior Leaders course has supported the JTYAF for many years due to John Thornton, a Royal Marine tragically killed in Afghanistan in March 2008, being a graduate of the ATC Junior Leaders Course.
The charity itself was established in the name of John who aimed to live his life to its maximum potential. Following his death in 2008 the foundation was set up to allow young people to "Climb as high as they can dream" and gives opportunities to those who wouldn't otherwise have these opportunities.
Because John Thornton wanted to help people to climb as high as they can dream I felt it fitting that I should attempt something John had done - sky diving.
On 11th March 2017 I'll be making my first ever parachute jump from 13000 feet somewhere over Oxfordshire. Please donate to my page to help me support this very worthy cause. Thank you.
