Story
Thank you very much for taking your time to look at my page!
I am planning on starting the walk on Friday the 1st of April, finishing on Saturday the 2nd of April.
This will be a very difficult feat, but it is most definitely worth it as the amount of money it could raise for the charity will help phenomenally with different families that need it. My main aim is £1000 but if I manage to raise £1500, I will even do the walk in a kilt!
This is a charity that means a lot to me as my cousin, Zoë, was born prematurely, blind, with cerebral palsy and suffered from seizures. When she was born the doctors said, to treasure every day and memory that they had with her special as she wasn't meant to make it past the age of 10 but thankfully with the help of CHAS she managed to reach 13 before she sadly passed away in 2019.
Any money donated to CHAS will go towards improving their facilities in hospitals, increasing the number of facilities they have in hospitals and help them buy more equipment to improve the young people and their families' lives. Any donations will also help provide more home visits for any children or young people whose lives have been affected by a life-shortening condition like Zoë meaning they won’t have to deal with the hassle of a hospital. It can also help them be able to employ more carers to help look after these children so that the parents can rest easy knowing that if anything happens there is someone who can take care of the situation.
