I have two friends who have daughters with the thankfully rare but devastatingly severe condition called Rett Syndrome. In short this is the 1st nurological condition that will have a cure. It is very close. Last year I walked the Leeds Liverpool canal's full 127 miles. This was over 4 painful days. This year a larger group is attempting the same task and I will be with them dishing out water, food and medical help from my bike as I cycle with them assisting.
