Story
I am writing this in my capacity as our expedition leader and chief fundraiser and I share with you an exciting challenge that some of us at Altus Logistics are embarking on, and how you can help to make a big difference to a great cause.
From 5 to 8 April 2013, 15 office based staff from SPO and Altus will be trading in their laptops and suits for walking boots and waterproofs to take part in the Sailors’ Society Asia Challenge. The challenges involves a race up to Laban Rata Lodge perched two-thirds of the way up Mount Kinabalu before climbing to the summit at 4,095m - the highest point in Southeast Asia. However, this journey begins well before the first footsteps begin up the mountainside and this is where we need your support…
As part of Altus’ and our parent, Swire Pacific Offshore’s, initiative to contribute back to the wider shipping community, the purpose of this endeavour is to raise a total targeted amount of USD100,000 for the Sailors’ Society. The Sailor’s Society is an international charity providing support to seafarers worldwide often working in difficult and dangerous environments, separated from family and friends for extended periods of time. The Sailor’s Society aims to provide a measure of social care and assurance to those seafarers most in need.
Your generous contribution will be greatly appreciated. As a fast growing company, Altus is acutely aware of our responsibility to the societies and communities we work within. With your help, we will be able to give a little back to those who enable our businesses to thrive. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.
So please did deep and donate now.
