The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Ben Nevis, Scotland. 1344m.

Scafell Pike, England. 978m.

Snowdon, Wales. 1085m.

Add these numbers together and it comes to something like 3000.  Or 4000, I was never very good at maths.

I’ve never been much good at exercise either, so when some bright spark at Marriott came up with the plan to climb three bizarrely-named mountains in 24 hours (oh yes), it seemed like a great idea.

For two reasons:

1. Living between two Tesco Metros has meant that the temptation of eating those little Malteser rabbits after work is too great.  So I say NO MORE!  Let’s leave those bunnies on the shelves and get fit!

2. It is a great opportunity to raise money for a fantastic charity, the Prince’s Trust.  The Prince’s Trust is a youth charity that does so much to change the lives of young people, from a practical and financial point of view.  I’ve seen the results first hand and what the Prince’s Trust accomplishes is incredible, inspiring and tangible.

So if I have to get muddy and out of breath, buy some hiking boots and stop visiting Domino’s Pizza to help this great cause then so be it.  I need your help too!

The science bit...

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.  Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them or send unwanted emails.  Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.  So it’s the most efficient way to donate – I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now!
