Story
Maddy was the bravest and mightiest girl. She fought cancer for 6 years and she took her last breath on November 12, 2020. She is forever 12 years old. Maddy was not defined by cancer. In fact, she lived her life with pure joy and light. She was a true example of determination, grit and resilience. While fighting for her own life, the importance of fighting for others was never lost on Maddy. She believed in Unravel and their mission to find a cure for childhood cancer. She believed (as do we) that there will be a cure for kids just like her. Maddy lived her entire life bringing joy and love to others. She was silly, bright and the absolute light in our lives. We vow to remain active in the fight against childhood cancer. We vow to keep fighting to honor our best girl, to spread her light, and never ever give up.
About Unravel Pediatric Cancer: Unravel is a nonprofit organization working to spread knowledge about the grim realities of pediatric cancer and the devastating impact from the lack of funding. We supply the information, tools and support to individuals and communities that want to help create change; because good people want to do good things but sometimes they need help getting started. All monies raised by and for Unravel will go directly to the fight against pediatric cancer. In addition, Unravel partners with other nonprofits to strengthen our efforts. We do all of this with one goal in mind; we will unravel pediatric cancer. Please visit https://unravelpediatriccancer.org/science for more information.
