Story

We lost our daughter 6 months ago to an incurable virus, things have been incredibly hard at this time so My brother Niall and long life friend Michael got together with the idea to run The Birmingham Half Marathon in memory of my daughter Mielah-Rose Pettitt. We will be using the funds raised to donate to the Birmingham Children's Hospital as this could make a huge difference to their Christmas this year from presents being purchased or just general help with anything they need. After watching them try to save Mielahs life I realised how great the team are here and what an amazing job they do so I selected this charity to raise awareness and give something back X

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
