Story
The Royal Corps of Signals is deployed across the world in support of British Army exercises and operations, and this challenge seeks to recognise the work of those in the Middle East by replicating the distance between two key locations in that Theatre; Kuwait and Baghdad.
The charity Race is to take place on the 17th November 2022, over a distance of 724 km (450 miles), the equal distance from Baghdad to Kuwait. The race will be completed in teams of 10, within 24 hours. Competitors will be looking at doing 72 km (45 miles) each using the following methods walk, run, cycle or row to cover the distance. There will be four teams taking part in total. Two teams in Aldershot, one in Stafford and one in the Middle East.
The Royal Signals Charity is the charity for serving and retired Royal Signals soldiers and their dependents family. Adding value to Corps life, providing Swift and Sure support for those in need.
