Total Eclipse of the Heart
Having become the fastest gingerbread man on the planet at last year’s London marathon (a title I sadly held for a mere 127 days) I am
aiming for more World Record success at this year’s event.
It was a great feeling breaking a World Record. Now that record has itself been broken I’m even more determined to get myself back in
the record books, putting a few smiles on faces and bringing a little love to the capital along the way. I’m focussed on the even more coveted title of the fastest marathon dressed as a Love Heart (who knew that was even a thing)! This should be child’s play, with an existing record of 3:28:21 to beat. Child’s play just like the infant’s fancy dress costume that I’m having to squeeze into!
In the words of Celine Dion ‘My heart will go on and on…’ for 26.2 miles! As I attempt to become a Heart-breaker!
I’m still raising funds for the (often forgotten now) servicemen and women who have returned from recent wars with life changing injuries. The wars themselves may be fading in the memory, but the scars of battle will last a lifetime. I’d be grateful for any further support no matter how large or small.
If you’d like to help, then you know what to do!
Many thanks,
Richard
