Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page.
UPDATE
Well I did it. The first 18 miles went well then I hit the wall big time at Canary Wharf. Felt really sick and had to walk for 4 miles. Then that passed and I ran the last 4. Time was affected though as a result 5 44 but what a day! Thanks so much for all of your support, you really made a difference. Mick.

Beanstalk is a Charity supported by the Bank where I work.
Beanstalk have secured my entry to the 2015 London Marathon. In return, I am raising at least £2,000 for this great cause.
For every £200 I raise, Beanstalk can support a child for a whole year.
I will be one of six individuals running for Beanstalk and between us all we hope to raise enough money to support a staggering 60 children for the next 12 months.
I came to the decision last year, that the only way I was personally going to survive the event, was by losing some serious weight.
So the training and diet started last October and as April approaches I am at the gym or out on the road most days now.
I have lost over three stone already and on way to my fourth (stopping at 12 stone hopefully). I have even given up beer and curry for the last 5 months, so you know I am serious!
To prepare for the big day, I entered the Adidas Half-Marathon (13.2 miles) which took place at the Silverstone Race Track on 15th March March 2015. It was a really cold day but enjoyable. I completed it in 02:13:09 - not bad for my first half marathon!
Thanks again for your support, it is really appreciated.
Mick.
