Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you will know my mum sadly passed away last year and I am keen to raise as much money as possible for the Rowans Hospice that cared for mum in her final few days.  As a family we did our very best for mum, but we simply couldn't provide the specialist care she needed, and hence why she went into the Hospice.  However, had we had a real choice, we would have preferred - as mum would - for her to have spent her final days at home.  Unfortunately, the care mum needed wasn't available to her in her own home at the time, so now I want to raise as much as I can to make the choice available to those facing the same heartache.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Rowans Hospice - my chosen charity - and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So please dig deep; 10 miles is a long way for me when I've not covered this sort of distance since I was a teenager!

I'm very determined to complete the run in honour of mum, and make a real difference for someone else needing the help of the Hospice.

Thank you.

Michelle. x
