On the morning of 12th January 2014 I took a call to deliver the devastating news that my dear dad had suddenly passed away.  He had suffered a fatal heart attack aged 63.  The shock and sadness was nothing I could have ever imagined. 

On 2nd October I will be taking part in the Great Scottish 10k Run for The British Heart Foundation in memory of dad.  If I could tell him I was running 10k I think he would laugh!  To be honest not that long ago I could hardly manage to run to the end of the road!
