We raise money to purchase equipment to support our NHS hospitals

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday, September 26th  I am participating in the 'Wales in a Day' cyclosportive. 190 miles with 4500m ascent!  Probably around 18 hours of pedalling!

I entered this on the basis that if I couldn't make it all the way, my husband John would give me a lift to the finish and I would have enjoyed some of the ride through Wales despite having Multiple Sclerosis and epilepsy.  However this isn't about me!

This is going to be tough ride but nothing compared to the journey facing our lovely fellow cyclist Zoe Hibbard. As many of you may already know Zoe  was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  To show support for Zoe  I would like to raise money for 'Boot out breast cancer',  A charity committed to fundraising and to make sure every penny raised is spent on much-needed equipment for the NHS benefiting women diagnosed with breast cancer.

Amongst others dame Sarah Storey, a gold medal Paralympic cyclist,  much admired by Zoe,  is a patron of 'Boot out Breast cancer' a charity very close to her heart.

So for Zoe I WILL get to the finish line on two wheels!

So please sponsor me to raise money and let something positive come from Zoe's experience.

You can participate in your own cycle ride to show support for Zoe - THE BIG PINK RIDE taking place on Sunday 27th September at 9am starting at the cenotaph in Bolsover.  See Bolsover and District Cycling Club Facebook Events page for further details.
