Story
Having completed the Great North Run in 2019 I was delighted to get a place in the 40th anniversary Great North Run in 2020. But this was obviously put on hold due to the pandemic. So I am really excited to be taking part in this year's Great North Run.
I spent 2020 lockdown keeping up with my training and taking part in lots of virtual run challenges trying to keep in shape. I was very lucky to have a lovely rural setting and access to local runs to keep me fit during lockdown and most days I only had to share them with the local population or rabbits, foxes and deer.
I am raising money for the National Trust and Hanbury Hall so we can continue to bring nature to our members and give people a space to relax and reflect in. Like most properties we were closed for a lot of 2020 meaning we lost out on vital income so now we are open again for our members I am raising money to help buy bulbs and plants for our beautiful gardens for all of our members to enjoy.
We're a charity that looks after special places throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland for ever, for everyone. This includes 780 miles of coastline, over 248,000 hectares of land and over 500 historic houses, castles, ancient monuments gardens and parks and nature reserves
Any donation would be gratefully received. Thank you.
