Story
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden ("RM"), a world-leading cancer centre. Friends and family will know that the RM saved Elliott's life in 2019 and continues to provide him and so many other cancer patients with exceptional care.
We are forever grateful Elliott is cared for by the incredible RM team. In a year and a half, the RM has got Elliott through: induction chemo; maintenance chemo; total body irradiation; an allogeneic stem cell transplant (along with team Anthony Nolan); and a donor lymphocyte infusion. RM continues to support us as we deal with and treat Elliott's transplant side effects, graft vs host disease.
Due to COVID-19, the annual 'Marsden March' fundraising event organised by the RM Cancer Charity is cancelled. For last year's event friends, family and colleagues helped me raise over £2,000 to support the RM Cancer Charity (THANK YOU!!!). In light of this year's cancellation, I am fundraising via alternative means: the Marsden MASKS! I started sewing face masks for Elliott and I to use in public during the pandemic, and following interest from friends and family, I would like to invite donations in exchange for a mask(s). It is my intention that for as long as possible and until I notify otherwise, 100% of the proceeds are to go straight to the RM Cancer Charity. If you are interested in supporting this brilliant cause, please read below and donate to the page now!
Together, we mask.
Info
The masks are pleated, one size (should!) fit all adults and are created with a built-in filter pocket. Please see 'gallery'.
Minimum donation is £5 per mask. Please indicate in your donation comment whether you would like a plain or patterned face mask(s). Due to material availability I cannot guarantee all requests for specific patterns/fabric. I will do my best!
I will require your postal address to send your mask(s) to you. Please message me directly (see below) with your address once you have donated. I will then advise on estimated delivery time. If you wish to donate and receive more than 2 masks per person, please message me directly.

The smallprint...
Masks are sewn by my fair hands (well, with a little help from my sewing machine...). I am not a professional sewer. This is for charity peeps, be kind :)
This fundraising is in aid of, and not in partnership with, the RM.
While I continue to wear my homemade face masks to provide protection during the pandemic, there is no guarantee that wearing of these homemade face masks will prevent against COVID-19 or any other virus.
The masks are not supplied with filters.
I recommend washing the masks before use and in between every use in accordance with government guidelines.
