Story
My husband, Michael Popper, passed away in June 2016 in Maine while we were on vacation doing something we loved. I, too, almost perished, but I am here, and I do this in his memory.
Michael was an civil engineer, working to help clean up the environment; he was someone who loved the outdoors, and a person who wanted to preserve nature for future generations.
We were married 15 years; I hope to raise $15,000 to support two charities that support the environment and a healthy lifestyle. In the summer of 2018, I plan to walk from Nomehegan Park in Cranford, NJ - not far from where I live - to Gouldsboro, ME - the town where the accident took place - along the East Coast Greenway. While logistics are being worked out, that's almost 900 miles.
I hope you can join me, by walking a portion of the way with me, making a financial donation, and spreading the word on your social networks! Follow along on FB and Instagram @JennsJourneyNorth, Twitter: @JennsJourney18
