Story
I am running an ultrmarathon - 50 miles (80k) in one day. To put it into context - this is almost the same distance as London to Brighton!
I've run a few marathons before and never really taken it too seriously - my last race was completed whilst dressed as an elephant and my usual training regime involves running 3 times a week and a bowl of pasta at Frankie & Bennys the night before the race!
Needless to say, this is an entirely different challenge and I genuinley don't know if I will make it. I have 30 weeks to get myself into shape and need to be running 70 miles a week in training to have any chance of success. I've got to competely change my diet and somehow squeeze in 12 hours training each week alongside a full time job!
I estimate that the run will take me between 10 and 12 hours to complete - I really can't be any more precise as I have never run more than 26 miles before.
I will be running for Cancer Research and my company (Centaur Media) have offered to match any monies raised which is absolutely amazing. Please donate what you can as this is a fantastic cause. If you sponsor me then it will mean a lot and will help me keep going when it gets tough.Thank you so much for your support and for helping this brilliant charity.
