If you are anything like me then you are one of these people that often thinks about doing something adventures and challenging, possibly even something charitable - but for whatever reason, more often than not, life get's in the way and the big plan is destined to be nothing more and nothing less than an idea that crossed your mind.
About 2 years ago I started boxing as a way to loose a bit of weight and stay in shape.
Several times since I started the opportunity has come up to participate in an event like the one on June 17th. But, through a mixture of poor timing and fear of the unknown, I've turned the opportunity away.
This time around it's for charity - which makes it a slightly different proposition altogether.
Firstly, Julia's House is an amazing organization that seems to follow me every where I go. I have previously donated often and regularly to JH and once again a situation arrises where I can help these guys do some amazing stuff.
Secondly, the fact that it's for charity gives me a perfect answer to the inevitable jokes at my expense that will arise should I loose on fight night.
I've set the bar high. I want to raise a minimum of £3k for JH. So please support both this amazing charity and support me as I set off for very early morning training, late night training and a lot of being hit in the face.
I thank you in advance for any and all support you can provide.
Mike
