Story

Hi, thanks for visiting my Just Giving page.

On May 20th I will be taking part in a 180 mile bike ride from Leatherhead to Wales in support of the Get-A-Head charity. Miles 4 Mel is in it's 3rd year and aims to raise funds for The Get Ahead Charity, they are dedicated to fighting head and neck cancer and other diseases by raising awareness, education, medical research, the purchase of vital medical equipment that the NHS cannot afford.

A former work colleague, Mel Jaggard sadly passed away from a rare cancer called Adeonoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC) and this 180mile ride from Leatherhead to her home village in South Wales will help raise vital funds for this small charity making a big difference to many people.

Please make a donation no amount is too small, as you can see below even £5 can help fund something small that makes a difference to a patients care!

£5.00 can cover an Oral care pack, given to patients who are receiving Radiotherapy
£20.00 could funds a complementary therapy session for a patient having cancer treatment
£100.00 can fund a full days training for a specialist nurse, caring for patients with head and neck disease
