Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Michael Jameson, and I have an autistic spectrum disorder and I want to raise money for Linkage College. My mum has written this as I can’t read and write very well, although I am good at drawing and making plasticine models. (see a website about me at https://autismplasticineart.wordpress.com). I sometimes struggle to communicate with people as they do not always understand me, and I often struggle myself to understand the world we live in. I find loud noises and crowded spaces a bit challenging, and I don’t have any road sense so I can’t go out on my own. Luckily I went to some great schools and a brilliant college called Linkage, which has meant that I have learnt to cope with things much better. Recently I have been enjoying doing some running with my family and my key workers where I live. As well as doing some training runs, this year I have done the parkrun in Hull, the Humber Bridge fun run, the Minster way 5k and at Easter I did the Bridlington Easter 5 mile run. I am now training to do the Run for All York 10k in August. This is a considerable feat for me, not just because this is over 6 miles, but also because it will be crowded and noisy. I am hoping to raise some money for Linkage, because it was such a special place for me and has helped me to be the person that I am today.
