During pregnancy a very rare brain malformation was diagnosed, one that had no known cause, just one of those things, extra fluid had been produced in the ventricles, causing both the Corpus Callosum and Cerebellar Vermis to under develop.
His parents had to face the possibility that he wouldn't survive the birth and if he did, he may never walk or talk and could develop Hydrocephalus.
There wasn't a lot of information about his condition and there were many unanswered questions but despite everything his parents loved their son and couldn't wait to meet him.
Almost two years on, he's a happy, thriving, beautiful little boy who's running around and learning to talk. He's meeting all of his milestones, defying the odds and constantly proving the doctors wrong.
April 26th 2015, marathon day, will be his 2nd birthday.
Cerebra not only helps and supports children and their family's needs, it also helps provide information about their diagnosis and gives parents the support they need to give their unborn babies the chance they deserve.
