Story
The greatest tragedy that life can bestow is the suffering and death of a child. It robs them of their future and affects the lives of their parents forever. Seeing your own child slowly slipping away must be the most painful of all experiences only eased by the thought that maybe, just maybe, that where there is life there is still hope. There cannot be a single parent who has lost a child who does not think of that child every day of the rest of their life - and who does not ask themselves - "Why them? Why my child?".
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH - www.gosh.nhs.uk) is the world-renowned hospital that treats children with life-threatening conditions. GOSH gives HOPE - hope to children and parents. It has the knowledge and technology to ease the suffering of severely ill children and improve the quality of their short life. For many children GOSH is a life -saver. Sadly, for many others it cannot do enough. For many parents GOSH is their last hope. Anything we can do to help GOSH save children must be worthwhile. It needs to raise some £50 million each year to fund its work. Any donation no matter how large or small is one more attempt to save a child.
On August 4th of this year I successfully completed the inaugural Ride London 100 in under 7 hours (6h:37m:54s to be exact). In recognition of this I am asking you to make a donation to GOSH. Just click the 'Donate' button and take it from there.
