Story

On February 13th 2020 my mum Margaret Earley passed away at the Mountbatten Hospice after a short illness, the nurses and doctors done a fantastic job to care for mum in her final weeks so I'm completing 'Walk the Wight My Way' to help make sure that, even during this challenging time, the most vulnerable in our community are cared for when they need it the most. My aim is to walk and cycle 150 Miles by the day of walk the Wight 2020 (May 10th). Its only with our help that Mountbatten can continue to be there for Island people in the last years of life, when the time comes to die and to help those left behind come to terms with their loss. Without our support, Mountbatten cannot afford to deliver the services they do, as well as meet the needs of the increasing number of people who need care and support. Please help me by making a donation of whatever you can afford. Every penny will make a difference. Mountbatten, and Island people facing death, dying and bereavement, are counting on us!
