I have recently become a trustee for the charity International Development Enterprise (IDE) and decided to run the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise funds for this fantastic small charity that works with smallholder farmers in some of the world’s poorest countries, specifically those that live on less than $1 a day

The charity has particularly focused on developing affordable irrigation products, enabling farmers to grow crops to both feed their family but also to sell in the local area.

This unique market-based approach alleviates rural poverty by giving farmers a hand-up rather than a hand out!

I am sure that you will support me in my efforts to fundraise for this great and worthy cause where every pound will really make a difference to the lives of thousands of people.
