Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 7th April I will be taking part in the Manchester Marathon followed by the London Marathon (28th April)  and  then finally the Liverpool Marathon (26th May). I will be supporting JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). This charity is close our families as my nephew is type 1 diabetic and also my sister-in laws niece.

Type 1 diabetes has occurred because the bodies own immune system attacks and destroys cells on the pancreas that make insulin and the body stops making insulin altogether. Type 1 is a chronic condition that stays with people their entire life and they rely on multiple insulin injections or pump infusions everyday just to stay alive. This affects about 400,000 people in the UK 25,000 of them children is not caused by anything that the person with the condition, or their parents did or did not do.

TOGETHER WE CAN FIND A CURE!

Any donations will be grateful!
