Story
On 17 May 2012, the Michael Caines and Andrew Brownsword Hotel team will cycle the distance between Gidleigh Park and ABode Manchester in front of the Abode Manchester hotel on Piccadilly to raise funds for industry charity Hospitality Action.
Starting at 7am the team is composed of staff from Abode Hotels in the North West and group managers from the parent company Andrew Brownsword Hotels with the support of Michael Caines from Gidleigh Park. The funds raised will make a real difference to those within the hospitality industry who face their own serious challenges on a daily basis.
Two gym cycles will be set up in front of the ABode Manchester on Piccadilly with a live map displaying the distance cycled by the team throughout the day. The team will relay every 30 minutes to cover the distance of 340 miles between Gidleigh Park in Devon, and ABode Manchester while passing by ABode Exeter, the Bath Priory, Lower Slaughter Manor and ABode Chester along the way.
Christophe Hesbert, General Manager of Abode Chester says, “During Hospitality Action week and whilst Michael Caines’ campaign “At your Discretion” continues, we wanted to drive further fundraising events to help raise awareness and to show support. Hospitality Action is the only charity that represents our industry and is such a vital support network for the people that work within it. We aim to raise £1000 on the day.”
