Last year the first Race around Suffolk raised over £10,000 to support the volunteer clinicians of the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS). The charity relies on voluntary donations so this made a significant difference  and helped us keep going throughout the COVID pandemic. SARS responders are mobilised to give emergency care to  critically ill or injured patients throughout Suffolk and its borders - all on a voluntary basis. There is an emergency  call-out on nearly every day of the year. Essential medical equipment is expensive so we need to raise vital funds to buy and maintain it as well as meeting our running costs.
