Musketeer Marathon Challenge

Fundraising for Blood Cancer UK
Hello! Thank you for clicking through….
Unfortunately I never got the call for the 2012 Olympic GB team. So along with two friends (who also failed to make the grade…) we set our own Herculean task of running not one, but three marathons in one year. We've called it the Musketeer Marathon Challenge and it starts with a bang in April with the London marathon. Marathon No. 2 is in Liverpool on Oct 14, and finally in November, we'll head to the Big Apple for the New York Marathon - all in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma research.
My brother in law's father very sadly died of leukaemia. After it happened, Tim set about raising money for the charity by cycling from Land's End to John O Groates. Throughout my own challenge - he has been my inspiration and I'm hoping to raise £25,000 to assist in their research.
Every 20 minutes some in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer. This worthwhile charity raises funds for valuable and life-saving research into preventing and controlling blood cancers, improving treatments and increasing sufferer’s chances of survival and quality of life.
Our journey will involve completing not only 78 miles of competitive racing, but 45 weeks of training, 7 half marathons, 1,500 training miles and 9 pairs of shoes; and if we hit our target by November's marathon we promise to run the last one in full costume (sword and all…)
Our plan is to raise money on three occasions over the year. I know everyone will have their own benchmark for charitable donation, and i hope that you will see this as three chips in your allocation - rather than one. Although for any donation, I thank you so much.
Donating through JustGiving is totally secure. Your details are safe and once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity (and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer!). This means we can raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate what you can.
All for one and one for all!
