Virtual Lockdown Party Raising Funds For Local Victims Of Domestic
Abuse

With lockdown continuing, the rise in cases of domestic violence is increasing at a concerning rate across the UK. A recent report by MP’s states that calls to helplines has risen by 49% as victims are forced to endure longer periods of time each day with their perpetrators.

It‘s this news that has led us to supporting this critical cause to  support vulnerable victims in the local area and make sure that no-one suffers during this terrible Coronavirus crisis.

"During lockdown we are hearing of incredibly sad stories of abuse and even death with 16 fatalities reported nationally in the first 3 weeks alone’ said Justine Humphrey Resettlement Manager DAORP YMCA Bedfordshire.

The event, which is free, is taking place this Thursday the 30^th April from 8:10pm till Midnight and will feature DJ’s from the UK and South Africa. It is being streamed online to twitch.tv/micasa_sucasa.
