Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in memory of my second born son James Larry Walters.
Our twin boys Charlie & James were born 14 weeks premature and taken to NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Baby unit) at the Derby Royal Hospital, James was little brother to Charlie.
Both our boys received special treatment and as a family, the staff gave us amazing support.
Devastatingly James passed away in our arms after a brave fight of 75 days.
Big brother Charlie is now at home, still on oxygen but growing everyday.
My husband and I and the whole family want to raise as much money as possible for the Baby Unit at Derby
The Friends of the Baby Unit charity raises funds for equipment for babies which are born up to 16 weeks early and require intensive nursing care. Over the past few years the Friends of the Baby Unit have provided funding for ventilators, heart monitors, incubators and other essential items of equipment to give the babies the best care possible.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you xx
My Father Andy Backler has a page set up for his 60th Birthday so friends and family can donate as a gift
