Story
Having got the bug for cycling I have decided to take up a crazy challenge, cycling London to Paris in 4 days!! Not quite the cycling to the pub that I currently do.
The charity I am raising money for probably hasnt been heard of by many of you, but the chairman is Sir Robert Winston who I expect many of you know about.
As many of you know I have had some major events occur in the last 2 years of my life. My nephew Leo was born at 27 weeks in Australia and gave us all a lot of worrying days and sleepless nights. At just over 2 years old now he is the most amazing part of my life (Thank you Facetime) and I cant ever imagine life without him.
At the same time as worrying about Leo my mum was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Bravely undergoing surgery and Chemo, currently her worst problem is worrying about her curly "Chemo" hair. She has made an amazing recovery and is now fighting fit - 2 years on!
Thinking and hoping the worst of my worries were over, in December 2014 my friend for 32 years found out she was pregnant with triplets!! Who would have thought it. Obvioulsy born prematurely and with lots of worry during pregnancy, they are now totally gorgeous and enjoying life - they are my extended family and a very special part of my life.
None of the above is totally out of the ordinary however the recoveries of all 5 special people would not have been possible without some great research. The Genesis Trust spend a lot of time and money carrying out research into both premature babies and ovarian cancer, two causes very very close to my heart, so I'm doing this crazy challenge to help their research continue so other people can have as much luck as I have had!!
I know everyone is always asking for sponsorship, but please dig deep and see what you can give. I'm going to be holding some events too and hope that you will along come along and support me.
