Story
Those of you that know me are aware that I'm not a big fan of the outdoors lifestyle. The nearest I typically come to mud is in beauty treatments at the spa....but for one day only in May 2017 I've decided to throw caution to the wind..and myself into mud, an ice bath and potentially get electrocuted - all in the hope of raising money to support this amazing charity.
The Ally Cadence Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (ACT for SMA) provides ongoing help to many families during the most difficult times of their lives, including those that in my role as a paediatric nurse I have personal experience of caring for. The advice, equipment and continuing support that is provided to the children and families allows precious time to be spent as a family unit and is all provided at no cost and without limit.
Further information on my chosen charity can be found by visiting the website at;

I've decided to take part in a Tough Mudder event to raise funds for this amazing cause. The course is 10-12 miles in length and involves a variety of obstacles including those mentioned earlier (sub-zero water, fire and electricity - what could possibly go wrong hey!!).
Photographic evidence will be provided (especially for my friends that can't wait to see me with make-up down my face and covered in mud!)
This is where I hope you can help and I would be eternally grateful if you could sponsor me via the just giving platform.
