As you know I ran the Race For Life 10K in Southampton for Cancer Research to help find a cure for cancer (which I benefitted from in 1992). I said at the time that if I managed that then I would run the Great South Run, this time for Macmillan Nursing. This time for those less fortunate than myself and in need of the wonderful work these amazing people do. My Dad benefitted from their wonderful work and our Macmillan Nurse made life more tolerable for our family. She remains to this day a friend of the family - 29 years later.
