Event: Trek26 South Devon Coast - 26 miles, on 9 September 2023
Trek for loved ones and bring help and hope to everyone affected by dementia. Journey through the English Riviera and take in stunning views across the water as you walk through woods, along cliff tops and past stunning beaches.

Story

My fellow bootcamp buddy Katrina Williams and myself will be participating in a 26 mile hike around the South West Coast on 9th September 2023 in aid of The Alzheimer's Society. To get geared up ready for this, I aim to climb Snowdon and do the 3 Peaks Challenge around Bristol and Bath in preparation with my willing friends.

I am dedicating this walk to my Grandad who was diagnosed with Dementia a few years ago. As many as you know my Mum passed away 2 years ago from Motor Neurone Disease and I walked 23 miles of the Jurassic Coast to raise awareness for MND. I know she would be cheering me on from the sidelines if she was still here and I know she will be with me every step on the way to help raise awareness for The Alzheimer's Society for her Dad.

Our training is already underway and would love you to support us on our crazy quest for Charity. 😊 xxxx

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
