Hello again 👋 

So back in January 2021 I set up this page to raise money for MS Society. The plan was to run Edinburgh Half Marathon in May 2021, then Inverness Marathon in October 2021. However, this plan fell through as in February 2021 I suffered an injury, which ended up causing nerve damage. Over the last year and a bit the nerve damage has gotten progressively worse, despite many physio appointments. I am currently on a waiting list to see a Neurologist, which I suspect will take some time. At the moment I am able to do short runs that aren’t too strenuous, but unfortunately, definitely no marathon any time soon. It has been absolutely heartbreaking going from comfortably running 21k to only being able to run a couple of kilometres at a time. However, as so many people have so kindly donated, and I still believe MS Society is a worthy cause I have set myself a new challenge. I will now be running marathon distance over the month of May. I will update my progress on Strava for anyone interested.

The Original Story (ft a very hopeful Megan) 

Hey guys, 

So way back in March when we were first put into lockdown I decided to take up running as lets be honest there wasn't much else to do and I absolutely fell in love with it. Each month I was challenging myself to run faster and longer. In May I managed to run half marathon distance for the first time ever and that is when I decided my main goal was to eventually run a full Marathon. I have decided 2021 will be the year I do it! I have signed up to run the Edinburgh Half Marathon in May as well as the Baxter Loch Ness Marathon in October  I have decided in doing so to raise money for the MS society. I choose this charity as one of my family members suffers from this horrible illness and would love to do my part to help out.
