Op 28 mei doe ik samen met drie studiegenoten mee aan de 10k in Manchester. Het doel van onze deelname is om geld op te halen voor The Christie, een op kanker gericht behandelings- en onderzoekscentrum. Het centrum doet veel verschillend werk, waaronder ook internationaal onderzoek. Ik denk dat ik niet veel hoef te zeggen over het belang van onderzoek naar kanker, aangezien bijna iedereen, helaas, wel op één of andere manier met deze vreselijke ziekte te maken krijgt. Kortom.
