We fund education for African children to help them break the poverty cycle

Story

On Saturday November 12th The Mayor of Frome, Toby Eliot AKA "Mayor On Fire" will walk barefoot along 20 feet of red-hot wood embers measuring temperatures of around 800 degrees, to raise funds for SOS Africa and Fair Frome.

And why, you may ask, would someone be foolhardy enough to take on such a challenge… Quite simply, the decision to walk across the coals is dramatically life changing, both for the Firewalker and for people who will benefit from the work carried out by the charities supported.

SOS Africa is a grassroots African education charity based in Frome and Shepton Mallet, founded by local resident Matt Crowcombe. 100% of the funds raised by the Firewalk will be invested in a new education project in South Africa which will be introduced in January 2017.

Fair Frome is an organisation working with local people from all backgrounds to promote greater equality. Fair Frome champions greater financial, educational, social and health equality for people living in Frome and the surrounding areas.

Toby would greatly appreciate your sponsorship to reach the
£100 fundraising target.

Thank you for your support!
