On the 8th July 2014 our colleague's daughter Olivia was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL). She will undertake 2 1/2 years of treatment under the care of the fantastic staff at Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital (RACH). Through the NHS Grampian Endowment Fund, we would like to raise funds for the Grampian Children's Cancer Research Fund (GCCRF). The GCCRF is a charity based at RACH and it offers invaluable support to young people with cancer and their families. All money raised and donated to the GCCRF goes directly to the medical staff to help with research which directly benefits children being treated in the North and North East of Scotland, the training of highly specialised nurses and the production of informative support material for families affected by childhood cancer.
We have seen first hand how valuable this charity is to the children being treated with cancer in RACH and to the support that is offered to their parents and wider family.
