On Saturday 13th June 2015 I will be riding in the Macmillan Charity Race at York.

I am currently living in Newmarket working for the International Racing Bureau however I am originally from near Malton with York being my local track and being slightly biased my favourite racecourse in the country.

I come from a racing background and have ridden horses from a very early age up until around the age of 16. Since then playing cricket and pursuing a career in racing took over meaning riding horses didn't enter my mind.

Riding for Macmillan will be a great privilege as everyone sometime during their lives will be affected by cancer whether it be personally or through friends and family therefore I am determined to raise as much as possible for a fantastic charity.

I am currently in training and its going to be a long old journey to the race but no doubt a great experience along the way. No matter how small the donation, I am extremely grateful.
