Story
On the 14th January 2021 we sadly had to say goodbye to
Maurice Pugh, Mum's husband, our Dad and Grandad to Saoirse and Niamh.
Dad was taken into hospital on the 7th January as he developed pneumonia, later testing positive for Covid, two days later he took a turn for the worse and the Doctors made the decision to sedate him and place him on a ventilator to help with recovery. Dad remained stable throughout the week, but sadly on the 14th, we received the call to inform us that Dad's liver and heart were failing and we lost him that evening. The Doctor's confirmed sepsis and ecoli septicemia
Dad was an affectionate, full of life, loving husband, father and grandfather, always trying to provide the best in life and make us smile. Just like Tigger, the character he loved and would impersonate, he was bouncy, happy and fun and of course "the only one".
The three charities we have chosen are close to Dad's heart:
Marie Curie: every year without a doubt he would always buy
a daffodil and support the charity. However, looking back through photos and videos, we couldn't believe how many references there were to daffodils that we found. Now, whenever we see a daffodil we will remember Dad.

Rugby Pawprints: Although Mum will always be Dad's, first
love. Fen (previously known as Sasha) will be his other. Mum and Dad were only meant to foster, but on the day, how could they refuse and Fen the lovable Heinz57 joined the family. Dad and Fen were well known around the estate, always stopping to talk to fellow dog walkers and passerby's.

Redwings Donkey and Horse Sanctuary: Dad adored his
Granddaughters and this charity is close to their heart, as they have adopted a horse called Rumpel, and this was one of Dad's last outings with Saoirse and Niamh.

We have so many fond memories to cherish, but the pain of
losing Dad will forever linger in our hearts. We miss him so much, his silly jokes, his big bear hugs and his coffees.
