Myself, My mum, and others that knew Matthew, my brother, are running the BUPA 10K in may, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

7 years ago, we tragically lost my Dad, Colin, to a sudden heart attack, and never thought we would go through such pain again. However, on the 18th of January this year, we lost my Brother Matthew, due to an unknown genetic disorder ( Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy) , he had just turned 20. These events have inspired us to raise money, in the hope that at least one life could be saved through research into this relitaively newly discovered disorder that took our Matthew.

We are doing this to raise money, and also to raise awareness of such disorders, that when unoticed can cause devistation to families and friends of sufferers. Myself and other family members close to Matthew will be undergoing testing-and I urge anyone with a family history to do the same.

Matthew was an amazing brother, son and a firm friend, who will be missed not only by his family, but by all that knew him. We are incredibly grateful for the support we have recieved, and only hope that these events can be turned into a positive by generous people like yourselves.
