Story
My daughter Sophie who is 9 was seriously ill 5 years ago and thanks to the nurses and doctors she is still with us. Because of the generosity from all at the hospital and seeing other children around her that were not well too she has always wanted to give to those who need a smile. Every year she has donated toys to the hospital she doesn't use any more up until she was allowed to. Now she donates her toys to the local charity shops to help in that way. she just likes to give and is a very kind hearted young girl and i and my wife couldn't be more proud of her. She has been growing her hair ever since her illness and has refused to have it cut (Accept spilt ends) until she can donate it which that time has now come. It currently hangs below her bottom and gets the nick name Rapunzel! This is our daughters idea and although it is frustrating when washing her hair she just gets on with it so she can donate it. Even my wife who brushes her hair is now looking forward to the big day because it is a massive job keeping in good order and i cant do it as i have no hair so what good am i! So please give generously as this is a very worthy cause to bring a smile to those that need help through no fault of there own and we have all been touched in our lives with some one we know who has had cancer or currently receiving treatment for cancer.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people up to the age of 24 that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families.
