Project Trust encourages school leavers to spend a whole year volunteering in Africa, Asia, Central and South America. Its unique approach enables volunteers to develop their full potential while immersing themselves in a new community and sharing their skills and interests.

Story

Hello, my name is Matthew Whitten. I have recently been on a selection course for Project Trust, and have been accepted to go overseas to the beautiful place of China for a year. I have to raise £4850 for my Project. I will be teaching English in a secondary school to classes of up 60 people and of ages over 12. I will also be organising extra curricular activities including conversational English classes. I will hopefully be placed in rural China, where i can experience the beautiful surroundings of its culture, religion, politics and people.

I am 16 years old, and have always looked to helped people where I can. I'm very interested in sports, music, films and books. I live in a little small village, which i really love. There, we have lots of activities and clubs for young people, which i help in.

I would be delighted if you could assist me in my fundraising, with donations big or small, in reaching my total of £4850 in order for me to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Thanks, Matthew Whitten
