Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My Brother Matthew died in a road accident on the 16/04/2020. This was in the height of the first COVID lockdown so the restrictions made it difficult to honour his life and say goodbye with his friends and family.

Matt would be 40 on the 18/04/2023, so I wanted to do something to mark the date in his absence and to raise funds for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland who attended on the day of his accident. I plan to climb the 4 highest mountains in each of the 4 regions of the UK over 4 days in April 2023. Starting with Ben Nevis in Scotland on the 14/04/2023, then onto Scafell Pike in the North of England on the 16/04/2023, Snowdon in Wales on the 17/04/2023 and finish with Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland on the 18/04/2023 which would be Matthew's 40th Birthday. The combined ascent & descent totals 8516m which is just short of Mt Everest’s elevation at 8848m.

Some of the team at Garden Escapes will be joining me too, some for all for 4 Peaks and others staying local for Slieve Donard on the 18/04/2023.
