Story
Hello there!
If you’re reading this it's probably because you’ve clicked on a link I’ve sent you asking for a donation. Thanks for coming to have a look at my page - I hope you’ll sponsor me to run the London Marathon.
There are two big reasons why you should:
Firstly, I massively need your support to do this. A marathon is a really, really long way (literally miles and miles) and, let’s face it, I’m not exactly Mo Farah over here. Knowing that people actually want me to succeed will help spur me on and mean an awful lot.
Secondly, it’s for a fantastic cause. War Child is a charity that aims to protect children in war zones, give them an education and a future once the initial danger has passed, and campaigns to stop them being so badly affected by conflicts in the future.
It was set-up by a young Dutch woman in the nineties in response to fighting in the former Yugoslavia. If, like me, you watch the news and wonder what you can do to help then this is your chance - donating will mean children in places like Syria, the Congo, and Iraq getting support.
If you’d like to know more then have a look at their website - www.warchild.org.uk
Thanks again for clicking on my page, I hope you read this far. If you did, then please scroll over to the right hand side and click that ‘donate’ button ;-)
Many thanks,
Matt
