Story
I've been watching other people's sporting endeavours on TV for as long as I can remember and have mostly been pretty happy with that arrangement. Perhaps foolishly, I've now finally decided to get off the sofa and do my bit. It's less than two weeks to the race on May 2nd, so there will probably be no opportunity to develop a crippling injury or dream up an excuse to do something else on the day. I'm just going to have to do it. I'll need all the backing I can get to make it to the finish line and not to nip off to the pub half way round. That's why I set up this page.
This prestigious race is live on the equally prestigious Channel 5, so if you're flicking through the channels from the comfort of your pit that Sunday morning, keep your eyes open for me. No doubt I'll look like I'm really enjoying myself beneath the pain and a torrent of sweat.
The charity I've chosen to run for is Cancer Research as their work will benefit so many of us and the ones we love. We all know people who have been affected by cancer so please dig deep and give a few pounds if you can.
Thanks
Matt
