Story
Anxiety is something which affects so many people in so many different ways and is a very misunderstood condition, no two people who have anxiety have the same triggers or it affect. For many years I had no idea why I worried so much, felt so anxious in so many situations and struggled with panic attacks, and just thought it was me being me and didn't find out I had anxiety till I was in adulthood despite struggling since childhood. I would hate for others to feel alone. I've struggled with anxiety and panic attacks in quite a few years over the years and Anxiety Uk have always been a very reassuring and helpful charity and helped me when I faced a very difficult time a few years ago. This event will also be a challenge for us both, and hopefully generate some awareness and understanding to end stigma surrounding mental health and help others feel less alone. Having anxiety has made me determined to make sure that others don't go through or feel what I have alone and want to give back and hopefully make a difference.
